Why are my comment boxes not printing from MS Excel?

If your comment boxes are not printing from MS Excel then it is possible that this option has been disabled within MS Excel. If you want your comment boxes to be printed then it is necessary to enable this option within MS Excel.

The following example clearly shows the use of Comment Boxes in MS Excel and the solution for ensuring that the boxes are printed.

Example:

A user has created the information shown in diagram 1 using MS Excel. The comment boxes for cells C5 and C7 are not being printed. The user wants the comment boxes to be included in the printout.

The user's printout looks as shown in diagram 2. The user wants the printout to look as diagram 3.

Solution:

The Page Setup of MS Excel must be changed to ensure that the user's comment boxes are printed successfully.

This can be achieved by following the procedure detailed:1. Within MS Excel, use File and then Page Setup to display the following application window.

2. Press the Sheet tab to show the window which contains Print settings as shown in diagram 4.

3. Change the Comments setting within the Print section to As Displayed on Sheet.

4. Press the OK button to store this setting.

If the above procedure is followed correctly then the comment boxes will be printed as shown in diagram 3.
