I'm getting strange symbols, incorrect fonts etc. when I try to print

Check that the printer driver you have selected in your software matches the printer emulation.
Press Select key whilst powering on the printer, press Line Feed, Form Feed or TOF Set keys, this will print a line showing the emulation you have selected.
If you have embedded any printer commands in your software, check to ensure you have entered them correctly.
