Print Control Server can cause Storage Device Manager to fail
28/07/2005
There are circumstances where Oki Storage Device Manager (SDM) fails to communicate with any printer from a particular PC.
The reason for this can be the Oki Print Control Server operating on the same platform. There is some sort of contention in using the communication modules shared between utilities.
The solution is to stop the Print Control
Server before using Storage Device
Manager.
Storage Device Manager should then be able to
access printers.
The Print Control Server may be restarted after use of Storage Device Manager.
